Join us on Saturday August 25th to explore the magic of Japanese indigo!  Instructor Susan Kroll of Thistle Hill Farm in Sequim will bring freshly harvested indigo from her garden.  This indigo was grown from seed produced in near by Port Townsend (we will tell you how to obtain some for next years growing season).  We will process the fresh indigo leaves, prepare a dye bath, dye yarn using our Shetland yarn provided as part of the class (you can bring other items to dye too).  We will also have a yarrow dye bath to provide yellow, and an opportunity to over dye the indigo yarn. This is going to be fun!

Sorry to say this is not a child friendly event since we will be working with hot liquids and some chemicals (i.e. ammonia to change ph).
